Where we began
In 2004, Lisa Shaw launched Hamilton Shaw Consulting. It had been a long desire of hers to run a business and offer the market a different style of consulting. Having worked for consulting firms in Australia and overseas, she realised that value not only comes with knowledge, but a deep level of practical experience. Being truly independent and objective was also something she saw as fundamental to providing credible advice.
So applying her broad accounting, business and IT knowledge Lisa set out on her own….and her first client was Bronwyn Ross at Telstra.
Introduced by a mutual friend, from the beginning their relationship was built on mutual respect, trust and admiration. It was some years later that Bronwyn came to work at Hamilton Shaw Consulting, and from that point it was an easy decision for the partnership to form. Whilst it might be Lisa’s name on the door, Bronwyn’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in the business building the solid brand it enjoys today.
For Lisa and Bronwyn it is all about the team. We are immensely proud to be working with the most talented and experienced consultants in our space – the team’s dedication and commitment is not something we take for granted.
After 13 years, Hamilton Shaw Consulting has grown from a staff of one into a leading provider of technology sourcing advisory services that employs 12 staff and associates. Working with clients across most industry sectors, our reputation is backed up by the fact that over 70% of our business comes from repeat clients. We think they like having us around!
